Meeting every 2nd Wednesday of the month @7:00 PM
The Rimersburg Rod & Gun Club was established in 1936 and is located just east of Rimersburg, PA on Lawsonham Rd. It is located on over 200 acres of land that is made up of both wooded and farmed land. Part of the property is planted with food plots of corn, clover, and buckwheat. We also have apple, crabapple and chestnut trees. The rest of the property is under a forest management program. The club grounds are open to all big game hunting (bear, deer and turkey), the club is now also open to small game hunting. We also offer a wide range of activities for our members. We have one of the area's only 500 yrd. rifle ranges, with six covered shooting benches, and targets at 25, 35, 50, 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 yrds. We also have a pistol range. The range is handicap accessible. We have a unique archery range where archers can shoot from the ground or from a 15 ft. high elevated platform. The archers can test their ability at fixed targets at 10, 20, and 30 yrds. as well as 5 movable 3-D targets. For the anglers we offer a 1/2 acre pond that has bass, crappie, and cat fish and each spring it is stocked with trout for the annual children's Fish-4-Fun day, but after the fishing derby all members can fish for the trout. The air conditioned clubhouse has seating for around 100 with an adjoining pavilion. It has a full kitchen, handicap accessible restrooms and a children's play area. The club house is available for rent but be sure to make reservations well in advance. The club has lots of activities for kids as well. In addition to our annual fishing derby, where all kids receive prizes, we also teach a hunter/trapper education course every winter, we have a game tasting both at the Clarion County Youth Field Day every summer and offer an annual scholarship of $500 to a college bound graduate of Union High School and to a child of a member or a member who is not at Union. We are also home to one of the state's largest and most successful Big Buck Contests, now in its 54th year. We are a member of the Clarion County Federation of Sportsman's Club.
